Reveal the condition and safety of a property
A CoV will usually disclose the condition and safety of the electrical circuit of a property and are often used to prove existing required repairs. Electric CoV’s help to identify potential electrical hazards that can endanger a home, family, or employee.
Commonly, insurance companies and banks will request for a CoV during the pre-purchase and mortgage approval stages of a property, to ensure that the electrical wiring is safe and mitigates any potential risks of damage.
Benefits of requesting a CoV:
- Verify that the wire installation is not damaged or degraded to the point of compromising electrical safety.
- Find installation flaws and deviations that might put the occupants of the property in danger.
